A Prayer for a Sick friend

Dear Lord,
You know my friend/family member so much better than I do.
You know his/her sickness and the burden he carries.
You also know his heart. Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now,
working in his life. Let your will be done in my friend's life.
If there is a sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven,
Lord, please help him to see his need and confess.
Lord, I pray for my friend because your Word says I should pray for his healing.
I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful
because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal my friend,
but I also trust in the plan you have for his life. Lord, I don't always understand
your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust you.
I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward my friend.
Nourish his spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort him
with your presence. Let my friend know you are there with him
through this difficulty. And may you be glorified in his life and also in mine.

A Prayer for Comfort in Loss

Dear Lord,
Please help me in this time of loss and overwhelming grief.
I don't understand why my life is filled with this pain and heartache.
But I turn my eyes to you as I seek to find the strength to trust in your faithfulness.
I will wait on you and not despair; I will quietly wait for your salvation.
My heart is crushed, but I know that you will not abandon me forever.
Please show me your compassion, Lord. Help me through the pain so that I will hope in you again.
I believe this promise in your Word to send me fresh mercy each day.
Though I can't see past today, I trust your great love will never fail me.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors,
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.

A Prayer of Confession

Eternal God, our judge and redeemer,
we confess that we have tried to hide from you,
for we have done wrong.
We have lived for ourselves, and apart from you.
We have turned from our neighbors,
and refused to bear the burdens of others.
We have ignored the pain of the world,
and passed by the hungry, the poor, and the oppressed.
In your great mercy forgive our sins and free us from selfishness,
that we may choose your will and obey your commandments.

A Prayer for a Time of Stress and Anxiety

Dear Lord,
I need you now because I am full of stress and anxiety.
Reading your Word brings comfort, as I ask you to come and take my heavy burdens.
I take each burden, one by one, and lay them at your feet. Please carry them for me so that I don't have to.
Replace them with your humble and gentle yoke so that I will find rest for my soul today.
I receive your gift of peace of mind and heart. Thank you that I can lie down tonight in peace and sleep.
I know that you, Lord, will keep me safe. I am not afraid because you are always with me.
Please keep me daily, Lord, in your perfect peace.

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff; they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me; in the presence of mine enemies.
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

A Prayer of thanks for your blessings

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day,
I thank you for my being able to see and to hear this day.
I'm blessed because you are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe From all danger and harm. Help me to start this day
with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind That I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over
and give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have
words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know you intimately.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers and for each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy In their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
In Jesus' name.

A Childs Prayer

AS A PARENT YOU NEED TO TEACH THEM EARLY TO PRAY

Now a lay me down to sleep,
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.

God Bless my Mother, my Father, my Brothers, my Sisters,
and my Grannies too.

Keep our soldiers safe, and clothe the poor,
Feed the hungry and Peace in the world do Make.
