Simple Faith Trio began in August of 2007, with the sole purpose to witness to the lost and encourage Christians thru testimonies and song.
Since their humble beginnings the Trio has recorded many projects and videos. They have performed at the Florida State Fair and been on stage with some of today’s top groups in Gospel Music. Each one of these men with their unique style and personality sing with heartfelt emotion and contagious excitement.
Helping someone find there way to Christ is the purpose of this ministry.
When asked what it takes to have Simple Faith Trio come and present a concert, the answer is always the same..... “an invitation."
About Jeff Shadowens: Jeff originated from the big city of DeBerry, Texas and is a singer, songwriter and musician and has been ministering through gospel music for over 30 years. Jeff was a music evangelist for 51/2 years with the Henry Roe Evangelist Assoc. Before traveling with Henry Roe, Jeff was Minister of Music in his church at age 15, age 20 played piano for the Calvary Boys Quartet and at age 22 played piano for the Northam Singers. He has also shared the concert stage with many of today's top Southern Gospel groups, such as, The Kingsmen, The Inspirations, Karen Peck and New River, Gold City, the Dixie Melody Boys and many others.
In addition to the trio, Jeff has a solo ministry and has performed at the Florida State Fair and the Florida Opry. He has many recordings to his credit and during his career has appeared on Christian television and radio.
Traveling across America and overseas, he has always strived to bring joy to those who would listen to the gospel presented in song.
No matter where Jeff is singing, a concert hall, or in any church, large or small, the love and saving grace of Christ is always shared. When asked what it will take to have Jeff come and share his talent, the answer is always the same, "an invitation".
Jeff and his wife June live in St. Petersburg, FL. They have 2 children, a daughter Whitney, who is employed at the University of Florida in Gainesville and a son Ryan who lives at home with Jeff and June, but spends most of his time at the beach surfing and skimming (when he’s not working).
About Jerry White: Jerry joined the group in the fall of 2009 when Mike Hudson could no longer travel with the group. Jerry’s first experience with singing gospel music was at the age of eight years when he joined his maternal grandfather and aunt in their family trio. They sang every Sunday for many years on WPLA radio in Plant City, FL, his home town. After high school Jerry was privileged to sing professionally in an all male quartet that shared the stage with many of the top gospel performers of the day. Over the past few years he has been part of such groups as the Toney Brothers Quartet of Dallas, TX, the Canaanland Boys of Jacksonville, FL and has worked with the James Blackwood Quartet. Singing with James Blackwood was one of the highlights of his personal experience in this profession. Another was having the great tenor “Rosie” Rozell teach him the song “Hide Thou Me” at an Old Timers Gospel Reunion one year. Jerry and his wife Joni have two children who with the Lords help have managed to get grown. His personal mission statement is to bring the gospel in song to help others find salvation in the Lord.
About Mike Johnson: Mike originated from Evanston, Illinois and has only been singing gospel music for a few years but, he handles the baritone part with great ease. He began singing with a trio in his home church on Sunday mornings in the late 90’s. In addition to the trio, Mike has performed with other groups, such as, The Kings Messengers Quartet. Mike and his wife Patricia live in St. Petersburg.
